Program Overview
This sale presents our first cohort of Blue-E × Santa bulls, bred specifically for northern Australian beef systems and developed under commercial conditions.
The Blue-E × Santa Philosophy
Our breeding objective is simple:
Improve long-term herd profitability, not just short-term performance.
Blue-E cattle are a composite consisting of predominantly Angus, Shorthorn and Simmental genetics which are selected for improved feed efficiency, fertility, longevity and low mature cow costs, with a focus on whole-herd profitability.
Santa Gertrudis genetics bring proven adaptability to northern conditions as well as soundness, doing ability, temperament and a well established market.
In this cross, selection pressure has deliberately been applied to constrain mature cow size without sacrificing early growth, improve feed efficiency, maintain fertility and longevity and avoid extremes that increase long-term cow costs.
Performance Recording
All bulls are performance recorded and genomic tested through the Leachman $Profit analysis, which focuses on whole-herd profitability rather than individual traits in isolation. The $Profit index places a dollar value and ranking on fertility, marbling, efficiency, growth, carcase weight and yield, and retained heterosis. Full suite of figures and explanation in catalogue.

The sale will be conducted online via AuctionsPlus.
The full catalogue will include performance data, pedigree, structural information and fertility details for every bull.

Private inspections prior to sale are welcome by appointment.
